Meet Kristen

In 2005, Ms. Gillespie joined Gursey | Schneider LLP where she is currently a partner in the firm’s Litigation Services Department, specializing in the area of forensic accounting in family law litigation matters. She has testified as an expert witness in Los Angeles, San Jose, Orange and San Bernardino County Superior Courts. She has performed a wide range of litigation accounting services including business appraisals, determining gross cash flow available for support, lifestyle analyses, quantification of reimbursement claims, and pension plan and real property allocations. Ms. Gillespie has also assisted counsel in determining characterization of assets and quantifying reimbursement claims by applying her knowledge of case law to sophisticated tracing assignments.

Ms. Gillespie is an active member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She has held various officer roles for the California Society of Certified Public Accountants Family Law Section and co-chaired past Family Law Conferences as well as served on its planning committee. She was awarded the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) designation and the Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) accreditation by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Ms. Gillespie previously was an auditor with Deloitte & Touche, LLP where she received extensive audit training. She regularly attends education courses and seminars in the field of family law including the annual California Society of Certified Public Accountants Family Law Conference and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Business Valuation Courses.
