Meet Jenay

Jenay is a Manager in Gursey’s Litigation Support department. Jenay joined the team in 2009 and specializes in forensic accounting for family law matters. She assists high net-worth individuals with a wide range of accounting services during their marital dissolution proceedings and specializes in asset division, determination of income available for support, marital standard of living analyses, reimbursement claim analyses and post-separation accounting. Her asset division expertise includes the evaluation and apportionment of community and separate property interests, including the allocation of stock options, restricted stock units and carried interests, real estate apportionment, and the tracing of separate property claims (including cryptocurrency).

Jenay graduated Cum Laude from the University of California, Los Angeles where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications Studies, with a Minor in Accounting. She has been licensed as a Certified Public Accountant since June 2008. Prior to her career at Gursey, Jenay was an auditor at a large, multinational accounting firm.

Originally from San Diego, CA, Jenay decided to experience the four seasons in Southwest Michigan for eight years. However, she learned the beach is her true home. She now resides in San Clemente, California (known as the “Spanish Village by the Sea”) with her husband, two daughters, a cat and a dog. She enjoys e-biking, shopping, hiking, cooking, and soaking up the sun with family and friends.
