Job Title: Senior HR Generalist & Benefits Administrator

Department: Administration

Job Summary: Performs various HR duties as assigned and in accordance with prescribed procedures under the supervision and guidance of the Human Resources Manager. Provides benefits and leave administration, employee status changes, new hire paperwork, and other HR-related duties.

A day-in-the-life basic overview includes:

  • Responsible for all aspects of benefits administration, including the enrollment process, annual open enrollment, change and termination reporting, claim resolution, and answering employee questions.
  • Administration of benefits plan enrollment to include eligibility notification, auditing enrollment information for accuracy, point of contact for insurance carriers, address system benefit feed errors from ADP to carrier systems, reconciliation of missing deductions, answering all employee questions regarding benefits, and addressing questions from carrier representatives.
  • Administer and track leave of absences, EDD claims, FMLA, and Covid-19-related state programs.
  • Handle administrative aspects of employee terminations.
  • Assist in the annual performance review process.
  • Review non-exempt timesheets for accuracy.
  • Maintain personnel files.
  • Reconcile monthly health bills for accuracy.
  • Assist in coordination and planning of firm-sponsored functions.
  • Train employees on Aderant Expert/expense reports.
  • Recommend new approaches, process improvements, policies, and procedures to affect continual improvements in efficiency and services performed.

Successful candidates should have the following:

  • Minimum experience required: Three to five years as a Benefits Manager, HR generalist, or equivalent experience, preferably in a professional services firm.
  • Human Resource Certifications (SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR, PRC, etc.) are highly desirable.
  • BA/BS Degree.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
